The whole armor of God is written in Ephesians 6:11-13. we will look at it and see what it says and then later in an actual bible study go more indepth since this is only meant to be a blog. we will start in nerse 10 which says this, Finally my brethren be strong in the Lord and in the power of his strength. You see God wants us to fully trust in his capability to see us through any hard times or STORMS we may face in life no matter the storm his might will see us through each step at a time and that is why David said “The word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. as we spoke last blog this was part of the anchor message as it is this message as well because not only will light protect us from the unseen, armor is need as well in the war against satan and his cohorts.

we will start at the top the helmet of salvation. What does a helmet do it protects your bean from being knowcked around in a motorcycle crash but the Godly helmet of salvation helps you retain all that you learn in church and in the word. Verse 11 says we should put on the whole armor of God to protect us from the wiles of the devil. If you allow the devil to enter your head he will tweak it in ways you could never imagine so keep your helmet on it’s a hat no one can bug you about for wearing inside. verse 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, this war is not a physical war it is a spiritual war and the rest of the verse says this but against principalities ,against powers and against the rulers of the darknessof the world. There are a lot of things going on right now that were prophicied about in the Bible, wars , rumors of war, famines, earthquakes as the one in Washington D.C. And it was said that when these things occur don’t let your hearts be troubled, this is the way it is supposed to happen.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. in this verse we are told that basically the armor will help us stand against satan weapons of warfare and ultimately defeat him in the end. so lets look at the big picture and here is how it is told we will stand against evil clothed in righteousness, sheilded by faith armed with the truth or the sword meaning God’s spoken word, with a survival mindset given to us by God taught to us by our shepherds and as longas we put this into action, practice what we preach and put on the full armor of God we will be the last ones standing in the kingdom at the right hand of the father. So go read ,listen, pray and walk the talk and as always keep the rubber side down and may God bless.

I watched a video archive of Dr. Charles Stanley who is a wonderful preacher and delivers great sermons one of which i will use some quotes from and some Bible passages from the King James version of the bible which i dearly love but i also use of bibles as well.
Storms we all have storms hurricanes, tornadoes. These are not the storms i will speak of though how ever yes they can be scary. The storms i speak of are the storms of life ,financial, family problems, health these are storms that people go through some speak of them loudly with a friend or trusted spiritual leader others keep them to themselves. God knows of these storms he knew of any storm that could come our way and he gave the solution to us through the authors inspired by him to write the book which we will call in this blog our anchor. and i will explain how to make it work every time, even I need improvement in this department. So here we go.
What is the anchor of life to the believer? The anchor of life is the spoken word of God, THE BIBLE. check this passage out in Isaiah 40:8-) tje grass withereth, the flower fadeth, but the word of our God shall stand forever. The words written in the Bible are holy true and to the point and never change or will never sway a person in the wrong direction. When in storms you should check out psalms which are mostly written by David who was a king in Biblical times. He had storms all his life although he slayed lions while protecting his sheep and knocked the heck outa goliath, he had storms such as when he had the afair with bathsheba and had her husband killed off to cover his sin as well as other storms. He knew he did wrong and it tormenyed his spirit because the holy spirit convicted him of his sin and he wrote psalms to show how God inspired him through his hardship and how he honestly felt during each and every storm he faced. David was a man after God’s own heart although he sinned as do we all during his time he still loved God. a psalm he wrot was psalm 119:105 ) The Lord is a lamp unto my feet and a lamp unto my path. This shows us that God lights the way sometimes it is a little light but let me ask you this if youare in the navy our in the middle of the oceacn do you keep all lights on or do you shut them off except little lights just enough to light the way so you don’t hit your head on he bulkhead or run your schins into the knee knockers. you don’t want the enemy to see your position but need to see the path so God lights your path one step at a time.
you may ask where do these storms come from and why well God knows all so ask him, because God is omnitian- all knowing he knows where you are in the storm, he is omnipresent , he stays by your side in the storms and he is omnipitant, all powerful he has the capability to stop anything that comes our way but since he is a just God as well as a jealous God he will do things like cause a storm to get our attention or let a storm come our way to tech us a lesson to see if we are paying attention that is when God is yelling at you HHHHHHHEEEEYYYY dude listen ta what i got to say or else. Some times satan is able to catch us and ambush us and God will step in as long as we draw nigh to him through his son Jesus Christ of Nazareth. but ultimately the anchor is the Bible.
Another good psalm to read according to Mr.Stanley is psalm 57:1-3
be merciful unto me,O God be merciful unto me,for my soul trusteth in thee, yea in the shadow of thy wings i will make my refuge, until all thee calamities,be over past,I will cry unto God most high;unto God that performeth all things for me, He shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
Now what is the Bible here is a biblical answer: it is a written record of God’s unfolding revelation of himself through the spoken word in nature,in history, and through the coming of his son Jesus Christ. I hope you can put this into action and finally here is how it all works
1) read it2)meditate on it
3)believe it
4)apply it to your life
5)be willing to obey Now the things i just told 1-5 are very important because it says in the Bible clears as day faith with out works is dead if you don’t put biblical principles into action your faith means nothing. So i challenge you to go out as christians and spread the good news to every ear that will hear and as always keep the rubbe side down and may God bless.

laborers /disciples

Posted: August 23, 2011 in Uncategorized

I watched an archive video of Duane Sherif on this topic . It is part of a series called reaping the harvest . We as Christians need to go out into the harvest fields and pray for more laborers to aid us in God’s work as he plans out everything he has for us. When you look into what is needed most here are somethings to think about.
What are you doing when you are preaching? what does the word preach mean? it means to proclaim the gospel, or proclaim the truth. you can do this all day long until you are blue in the face but your words may fall on deaf ears, however if you teach the gospel you are in fact explaining the gospel which will enlighten new converts and when you enlighten new converts you don’t just make converts you turn them into disciples, people who can go out into all nations to preach and teach the gospel as it is meant to be. somethings that need explanation are
2) sowing seed
these are just a few things there is more I am sure. In order to follow the Bible as it is written in order to be a disciple you must be baptized in water and of the Holy spirit.
Now lets look at what Jesus did and kind of how he did it.
He did not just preach he could have done that all day long but he also taught through parables and lessons and speeches like the sermon on the mount. He was a shepherd and a good shepherd.
What does a shepherd do? They over see and protect the sheep. When Jesus preached and taught he didn’t just do that he was actually manifesting God’s kingdom into people’s lives and that is what we are supposed to be doing with the guidence of our shepherd when we go to church in order to get our spiritual refill of the week so we are better prepared to go unto all the world and spread the gospel or good news.
Now a glimps of what a shepherd or pastor does he over sees the activity of he sheep or members of the church. You see with out a shepherd we would be like the people in Mathew verse 36 when Jesus went and saw the people fainting and scattered abroad. This was due to the fact that there was no shepherd to lead them so they were helpless and confused and we need to recognize this when we see it and correct it biblically. We also need to have compassion for people, God loves people we love God so we also need to and should love people like it says love thy neighbor as thy self and love thy enemy also, for when you do these things you do them unto Jesus and there for glorifying God as we are supposed to.
I challenge everyone who reads this blog we need to stop standing around and polishing our armor and we need to stop fighting one another through gossip, complaints who’s right who;s wrong which religon is right and which is wrong because ultimately God’s word is right, just, and final no matter how you cut it just like you can cut pizza into squares, triangles, put what ever you like on it it is still pizza with a different taste. That’s that the Holy Bible is final no matter how ya slice it.
until next time keep the rubber side down and as always God bless

what is control? When someone says I am in control of this or that or I am in control of my life , my destiny they are foolish. No person is in control of their destiny. They may make the right choices but ultimately it is God who is in control. Paul was traveling to another land he went north and God stopped him, He went south and was stopped by God again he went east and west until there was no other choice but to go south. God has control over everything that takes place wether a job, buying a vehicle or having a child it is ultimately God’s plan. We need to stop and listen to what God wants us to do and let him control our lives and then people will say wow you’re really in control of your life but in reality control is an illusion not a reality. When more people realize this and stop trying to make God’s choices and decisions for God I know the world would be a happier place to be in. Until next time let God be the pilot not the co- pilot and keep the rubber side down and may God bless you.

harmony in the house

Posted: August 13, 2011 in Uncategorized

Isn,t it funny how being stuck in a house for four weeks can bring kaos to a house where you were called to relocate to in order to be a blessing? This would be what i consider a stale house and the Bible warns of this. Now look at it from a point of view from inside a church, in a flourishing church you have the pastor in complete i will use the word control for the moment in order to let you the readers understand the context. So pastor in control of his flock he knows them by name and his flock gets along no gossiping and he said she said deals going on this is a God driven happy church in sink with the Bible and absorbing everything the pastor says in his sermon and using it to whitnessing to people in the streets. Now we look at a stale church he said she said ,everyone gossiping . House holds are the same so I would challenge all who read this to see what they can do to make their house hold and church a happy and healthy enviorment one which has the presence of God all over the place. until next time keep the rubber side down and may God bless.
